Hi Claudia,
Based on your explanation, here’s a possible breakdown of milestones for structuring the Service Agreement. Of course, this isn’t a perfect list, so feel free to adjust as needed.
Stage 1: Provincial Nomination Process
Initial Consultation & Eligibility Assessment – Confirm the client’s eligibility for the provincial program and Express Entry (if applicable).
Expression of Interest (EOI) Submission – Submit the EOI to the province.
Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Province – If selected, receive an ITA and begin preparing the nomination application.
Provincial Nomination Application Submission – Complete and submit the required documents to the province.
Nomination Approval – Receive provincial nomination confirmation.
Work Permit Application (if applicable) – Apply for a work permit based on the provincial nomination.
Stage 2: Permanent Residence Application (Provincial or Federal)
PR Application Submission – Submit a PR application under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream or, if the Express Entry path is successful, under the federal Express Entry system.
AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) from IRCC – Confirmation that the application has been received and is in processing.
Medical & Biometrics Submission – If required, complete medical exams and biometrics.
Decision on PR Application – Receive approval for permanent residence.
Work Permit Considerations
If the client is waiting for PR but needs a work permit renewal, apply for a Work Permit Extension.
If applying through Express Entry and eligible, apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) instead.
Since the provincial and Express Entry pathways start together but eventually diverge, we might need to clarify how the agreement accounts for both scenarios. Let me know if you’d like to adjust any of these or add further details!
