The IRB Specialization Exam is designed for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) who wish to represent clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB). As of July 1, 2023, only RCICs holding an RCIC-IRB class of licence are authorized to practice before the IRB. To obtain this licence, RCICs must complete the Specialization Program, which includes passing the Specialization Exam.

This exam assesses consultants on their knowledge, skills, and judgment to ensure they can practice safely and ethically before the IRB in the public interest.

Therefore, the intended audience for this course comprises RCICs aiming to obtain the RCIC-IRB class of licence to represent clients before the IRB.

Disclaimer:

This is a preparation course designed to help participants get ready for the IRB Specialization Exam. Completing this course does not grant the RCIC-IRB class of licence or authorization to practice before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).

To represent clients before the IRB, participants must pass the official Specialization Exam conducted by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) and meet all other licensing requirements set by the regulatory body.
